DAVENPORT, Fla. – Nov. 8, 2010 – Margaret Travis, owner of Eazy Peazy Quilts, is featured in the current issue of Needlepoint Now magazine in an article by Jody Williamson-Valentine (http://www.etsy.com/shop/JODYdirect) about the series of annual needlepoint Christmas ornaments Travis has created. The series began in 1970 and each year since she has added to it, making a different ornament design every year and then giving them as gifts to family and friends.
According to the story, the original design idea came from a long ago magazine article and those receiving the ornaments that first Christmas 40 years ago liked them so much that in the second year a tradition was born. Needlepoint is one of Travis’ many sewing and craft hobbies when she is not designing patterns for her company Eazy Peazy Quilts. The company publishes patterns for quilters to use the skills learned for quilting to make unique, useful and fun items such as handbags and handbag accessories.
Additionally Eazy Peazy has a line of items for those using walkers and wheelchairs under the brand name of Eazier Livin’.
Readers of Needlepoint Now are directed in the article to the Eazy Peazy web site, www.EazyPeazyQuilts.com, to download a copy of a needlepoint Christmas ornament pattern similar to those done by Travis at no charge.
